DO drivers in southern Hampshire and other highly-populated areas take pleasure in sitting in traffic queues every working day?
Do they not realise that these queues are partly of their own making, where a modicum is applied thought and organisation could so easily change things for the better? (Oh sorry, I missed the children's tea, the traffic was awful as usual).
Most queues consist of three-quarters of vehicles containing one person only.
Large companies, council offices etc could lead the way by organising their staff to arrange car-sharing. It is the obvious solution. It should have been implemented long ago.
Instead we sit like idiots trapped by our own thoughtlessness.
