PRISON officers in England and Wales have been offered 2.5 per cent in two stages.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown, a Scot, says that this staging of pay awards is an "essential part" of controlling inflation, keeping interest rates low and creating more jobs.
Really Gordon? Scottish prison officers have been given an outright settlement of 3.5 per cent and are not taking industrial action!
