GEORGE Melrose's letter Labour Let the Rot Begin (August 30) claims that he is not a Lib Dem member or a Lib Dem activist.
He then went on to say that Labour were in power for 18 years and failed, and never spent a penny in Lordshill.
He was a Labour councillor during those 18 years and I do not think he was as bad as he says he was. I believe that he always tried his best, and had the interest of the community at heart.
No matter how much he may regret it, he did go over to the Lib Dems abd was one of their councillors. There is no way you he get away from that fact.
If he is saying he has had enough of the Liberal Democrats, in the same way he had enough of the Labour party, the Independents, the Liberals (I may have left out a party), then that's another matter.
