WHAT makes councillors think they are worth an obscene 325 per cent increase against a prison officer receiving about two per cent paid in two parts?
To be able to award oneself an unopposed increase is an abuse of power which is the case when MPs claim a rise of at least 30 per cent.
The increase should be about two per cent which councillors and MPs feel is more than adequate for the rest of us.
