I READ the letter (September 10) regarding the proposed closure of the post office in the High Street re-siting it in WH Smith at Above Bar.
What an absolutely ludicrous idea!
Has anyone from the Post Office ever been into the branch to see how busy it is?
I only became aware of the proposals from a colleague who saw the notice, but I frequently use the branch and have never seen the notice myself. It must be very small and in a not very prominent position, as I cannot imagine only seven people would have written to oppose this.
I would have written if I had seen it and would certainly have urged others to do the same.
What planet are these people on?
