WHAT a splendid impact the new Conservative council has made on Southampton during its first 100 days under the capable leadership of Councillor Alec Samuels.
Cllr Samuels, a retired lawyer, is dignified and intelligent - a refreshing change from the previous Labour leader!
Why did Daily Echo editor Ian Murray depict Cllr Samuels as the disgustingly evil child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (The End of the Week, September 8)? Has the editor seen the show?
Is this the punishment levied by the Daily Echo because Cllr Samuels prefers to work hard and not to waste his breath on its editor or a mobile phone?
