TWO suspected armed robbers are now dead. Congratulations to the police for a job perfectly executed.

Let us hear no comfortable armchair talk of "victims of the shooting" or "a police job gone badly wrong".

Before hanging was abolished, most robbers dared not carry guns because they knew the meaning of the rope. Nowadays our leaders deny society the only civilised option for such barbaric offenders. They abolished hanging as "barbaric" and therefore are responsible for the brutal murders of innocent security guards, police officers and members of the public who get in the way of armed robbers.
