MY wife and I received an invitation by phone to attend a presentation by a company in Southampton. The invitation arrived and promised a hamper and wine for attending, as well as a cash bonus if we phoned to confirm.
We phoned to confirm and were given a very good presentation on wholesale holiday accommodation, We decided that the offer was not for us. Our Hamper turned out to be a small box of imitation After Eight Mints. The wine we were told had run out, and the girl who deals with the cash bonuses had gone out!
We believed that this form of the old Timeshare selling tactics was a thing of the past, we fell for it, but beware it's still around and they are active all along the South Coast.
