I TOO get thoroughly fed up with cyclists on the pavement, or footpath if you prefer.
Riding on the pavement apart from being dangerous to pedestrians is also illegal.
I am a regular road runner who, for obvious safety reasons, usually run around Southampton on pavements including Itchen Bridge. I therefore get extremely annoyed and angry when I am expected to give way to a cyclist on the pavement!
Especially when there is a cycle lane on both sides of the carriage-way.
Why not use some of the cheaper community police officers to patrol the bridge at peak times to dissuade ignorant and inconsiderate cyclists from flouting the law.
