IT was my mother-in-law's funeral recently and we were going through Sholing when a young lad, what most people would call a chav, took his cap off in respect of us passing.
The same thing happened later when a lad did the sign of the cross as we passed.
I am the first to have a go at youngsters but I would like to say thank you to these two lads and now I know you should never tar people with the same brush.
MARIE CRAWFORD, Southampton.
