IF aircraft noise bothers the likes of R Griffiths (Letters, April 12) so much, they should not have moved there in the first place.
Expecting compensation and reduction in council tax is ridiculous.
If everyone living in the same vicinity wanted that, then it would probably put the airport into liquidation. People seem to forget that the airport has been there for 80 or more years and if they live there, that's their choice.
Expecting compensation from airport noise opens the flood gates for people who live near railway lines and motorways. Where do you draw the line?
I have also lived close to a flight path, that was my choice but it never bothered me.
