Despite the recent news coverage about the link between lifestyle and cancer, research shows there is still a lack of awareness about how we can make positive choices to reduce our cancer risk.

For example, only half of people are aware that being overweight increases cancer risk and less than a third know that eating processed meat is a cause of cancer.

Choosing a healthy lifestyle can make a real difference to your risk of developing cancer. In fact, scientists estimate that about a third of cancers could be prevented just through healthy eating, regular physical activity and being a healthy weight.
