I doubt if there is anybody alive today who bricked up their windows to avoid the window tax.
I remember during a ghost hunt, a judge in Kent told me since he unbricked our window the ghost had fled!
Tis proposed tax is nothing more than an excuse by the envious far-left in Government to squeeze more tax from the middle class.
Could it see the return of boarded up windows and high fences to block out the view? Will a horrible view give a reduction in the current tax and will the blind be exempt?
I see it as another nail in the Government's coffin at the next election.
PHILIP PEARCE-SMITH, Holbury.
