I URGE everyone living close to AFC Totton, BAT in Southern Gardens, and Little Testwood Farm, who oppose plans to develop these sites, to send your representations to Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/20, Eagle Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN quoting APP/B1740/A/08/ 2070285/2070281/2070281/NWF. To arrive no later than May 12.
It will be no good complaining if development starts, this is no time for apathy.
The developer's reason for the appeal do not appear to have addressed any of the very important planning policies when New Forest District Council refused planning permission. Last year, the local council also recommended refusal.
In October 2006, the developers stated they would only proceed with the accord of the people of Totton. This they clearly have not achieved.
There is considerable opposition to the proposals, so why do they still carry on?
The two sites they wish to develop are classed as open spaces. Totton is already over-developed, so please write to show your opposition to these proposals. See you at the public inquiry.
ALEX SHEPHERD, Testwood, Totton.
