AT long last someone has decided that the student invasion has changed the character of neighbourhoods.
Thank you, MP Alan Whitehead, you are doing more than our councillors. No doubt, when you walked around the area, you could see what a different scene was presented, especially to me having lived here 60 years.
The main trouble is car parking - years ago one house one car, and that fitted the garage. Nowadays bigger cars and as many as three to a household. Local authorities never catered for that number.
Mr Whitehead, I wish you good fortune in wanting property owners to acquire planning permission to change a family house into a house of multiple occupation.
Thank you for your interest in this matter which concerns many people around the area.
