WE have so many lovely walks in the wonderful South of England, and I hope at the age of 85 they will be available for my future generation to use and enjoy.
Just keep your eyes on these property developers is my message to them, and do your best to curtail their activities. They just love the sight of fresh concrete on our green and pleasant land.
I have had the most wonderfull time watching eight hares playing, and in my long life I have never been lucky enough to witness this activity.
To save disturbing them I had to cut short my walk, but well worth it.
Bluebells are coming out on the banks, buzzards are to be seen on the wing, Orange Tip and Brimston butterflies are to be seen again, and of course the wonderful birds of our locality can be heard singing, to say nothing of the Osprey I saw last week, on his way to Scotland I suppose.
So wish me luck on obtaining a few more years in which I can enjoy all these beautiful activities.
EWEN HENTALL, Nursling.
