I READ with considerable interest Tory MP Mark Hoban's column (Daily Echo, April 23) about the Govern-ment's proposals concerning our hard-working GPs.
How can people who have no knowledge of how doctors run their surgeries interfere in such a manner?
All doctors have their own ways of planning their day's work.
The areas that they cover are different. Some work in overcrowded cities others have widespread country practices.
I am sure that I speak for most people involved in healthcare.
Every patient is different and should be treated so. Patients should not be treated en masse in a surgery as has been suggested.
Many people are living longer due to the good care they have received, but owing to their advanced years are unable to attend surgeries.
I think that this would be quite catastrophic and lead to a shortage of skilled medical help.
