IN Hamble we have no nursing homes etc. and very few bungalows for the elderly, the few we do have are shared by Eastleigh residents.
Eastleigh council is not very outgoing to Hamble. It is not the same place it used to be. Houses everywhere even in gardens now. Eastleigh Housing is proposing to pull down the few garages we have and build houses (our roads now on the estates are already choc a bloc).
These garages are situated beside the elderly peoples’ bungalows, so instead of garages guess what? Yes, houses etc.
What a surprise, this should never happen to our elderly citizens. Have they no feeling for them at all?
If the council must build make it more bungalows for Hamble residents. I know this would free houses for families.
What has Eastleigh council against our elderly and infirm?
First they are goung to stop their tokens and now allowing a housing association to build houses around their bungalows.
We all know that children and very elderly people do not mix.
It is very unkind and thoughtless to do this.
Surely some councillors have a heart. Are they all voting for these two things?
Remember we all have to get old sometime I do hope you will think on this and help our pensioners.
Dianne Cowan, Hamble.
