I HAVE read the comments in Monday’s “comments from the Daily Echo website’’ and have no doubt that the fault is not directly with the ambulance service – it is all to do with underfunding and not providing sufficient capacity to cope with such situations. I note that there has been no response from the city’s elected MPs – both Labour – on this matter. I wonder why! They are very quick to comment on other issues but not on those which cast questions on the Government’s ability to handle certain key matters. Perhaps Mr Denham was too busy in making his speech re the Israeli problem?
This country comes first in my eyes, and it is about time our MPs recognise this. We pay our taxes and should expect proper service and treatment. Is this another indication of how we are sufffering under the current Government?
I hope the lady is recovering. At her age, she (and her family) should really expect this country to treat her a lot better.
