I THINK that the Bishop of Winchester is right to suggest that there is a growing gap between the rich and the poor.
Might I suggest that a major reason for this is that with the continued decline of industry, many people have lost their skilled jobs and have had to take lower paid ones in the service sector? In my view the Bishops have raised a number of important issues, especially the question of whether the economy has been on the wrong track for decades.
