IT comes as no surprise to me that Sainsburys have shown a profit over the christmas period while everyone else appears to have suffered huge drops in sales.
I was in Sainsbury a few days before christmas intending to shop, I noted with much annoyance the increase in some of their basic items.
I was so annoyed as were a couple of other customers who had been discussing this I suggested that our only protest would be to walk out and shop elsewhere, we all did, I had said I would write to sainsbury but suspected that as with all!
big stores the best I could hope for was a 'stock reply'. I actually rediscovered a store I had not used for many years , I found them to be most co-operative and extremely helpful, the staff were actually polite! and did not appear to be suffering from the modern language problem....GRUNT.
So thank you Sainsbury your greed did me a favour.
