HERE we are at an apex of our existence. What a sorry lot we have become. Are we, the Soton people responsible?
I try to put myself in the governing bodies mindset., but feel powerless to control this situation. How is it I can see a catastrophic situation BEFORE it arises? Surely I am not empowered with foresight and do I expect too much from the people I elect? However, it does not end there – our local council (I would like to put aside our quangos) have to put forward our, the local communities point of view - we ,the people ,are not happy. All we want is a completely regulated society, in the hands of ‘down to earth’ councillors.
I think the one most destroying aspect was to sell us off, in all aspects of ‘trade’. I still cannot believe that Governments could destroy our national personality and our pride in our Country in one fell swoop. There may not have been a World War II, but as sure as Hell, this was the next best thing.
Towns and villages alike will go through this destructive element – but then the whole of the ‘so called United Kingdom’ has been sold out to WHAT! We are no longer a Nation of survivors, we are a nation sold out completely. It has been a slowly, slowly situation and now we are in this mess. I am amazed the politicians are not able to see the wood for the trees – have no conscience as to what is happening to our country – or do they but are unable to fight against this invasion.
You, the Governments, have castrated us. We could become another division of loyalties. Do not concern yourselves with economic values, be aware, you are entering into a disembowlment of our society.
