WITH regard to the story of the pensioner who had to wait over an hour for an ambulance after slipping on the ice.
On behalf of this brave and indomitable lady we her family would like to extend our most grateful and sincere thanks to the good samaritans who showed her such kindness during her ordeal.
We also thank her neighbours, the members of the emergency services and everyone who has wished her well.
She is currently being cared for in Southampton General and whilst her broken leg will need to heal, her spirit, despite this unfortunate incident, remains unscathed and we are confident that in time she will make a positive recovery.
GARY and SUE HAYTER, Southampton.
