MANY letters have been published in the Southern Daily Echo in the 'Your Views' page requesting a review of travel tokens which were stopped by Eastleigh Council, resulting in the heavily disabled who are unable to use a bus pass being treated unfairly. All the requests have fallen on deaf ears as far as Eastleigh Borough Councillors are concerned.
Of course their overpaid salaries and travelling expenses are secure thanks to the ratepayers.
However I would sincerely ask all OAPs to support me at the next local election time to get rid of these councillors who are not supporting the heavily disabled in their need.
We must also give Keith House a break from his civic duties. He has sacrificed so much for us all out here. He himself says he could earn more money in the world of commerce. So come on folks, give the guy a break. Don't let him suffer any more on his 'poor salary and expenses', vote someone else in for a change and let Keith House off the hook.
C LEAR, Netley Abbey.
