TURN your time into nursing care for terminally ill people by volunteering for the Charity's Great Daffodil Appeal 2009.
Each March the charity encourages everyone in the UK to give a donation in return for a daffodil pin to wear in support of the Marie Curie Nurses. All money raised will help Marie Curie Cancer Care provide free nursing care for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses in their own homes and hospices.
Marie Curie Cancer Care's services are free of charge to patients, their families and carers but the charity can only provide this with your support.
If you have a couple of hours to spare, turn these into Marie Curie Nursing hours by taking to the streets to collect for the charity. Collectors are needed to man the collections scheduled to take place during February and March in Hampshire & Isle of Wight.
If you have a little more time available, we also need people to co-ordinate collections or help distributing the daffodil collection boxes to local supporters.
To volunteer for the Great Daffodil Appeal and help Marie Curie provide care for terminally ill loved ones, visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil or call the daffodil hotline on 0845 601 3107, alternatively telephone the local fundraising office on 02380 263123.
