ONE could make a cartoon about it! Youngsters and grown ups happily consuming their fizzy drinks and sweets while creating mayhem all around over their teeth!
Someone in the Health Authority obviously thought putting fluoride in our water would not only solve this problem, but also save on National Health dentists!
To remove one problem and create another is surely just ‘moving the goalposts’. Will they be providing the many of us unable to use fluoride or opposed to the use of it, with bottled water? We keep being told to drink more water. Many will be drinking less if it has to be bought and there will be even more plastic sent to landfill for the worms to contend with!
We can learn a lesson from animals. Their teeth don’t decay like ours, they eat food nature intended. They should not have fluoride forced on them and what about fish and plants?
After all is said and done the only way I can see ‘fizzy drinkers’ taking fluoride is in tablet form in their fizzy drinks.
That way must cost less and we can who like our water the way it is can go on enjoying it.
