I AM writing to ask whether you would be kind enough to place an appeal for our new BBC documentary in your publication which I hope will be of interest to your readers.

In the past, you have been incredibly generous in printing our appeals which has enabled us to reach a wider range of people who have stories that they want to tell.

Our documentaries (including the award winning Channel 4 series Married Love and critically acclaimed ITV series Britain's Love Story) have always aimed to include people from several regions across Britain thereby giving a balanced viewpoint of British life and so I hope you will be able to help me with my latest request.

The documentary that I am currently researching focuses on the issue of teenage marriage. Whilst marriage rates are falling, there are still over 4000 women under the age of 20 who get married each year.

I am hoping to speak to as many young women in this situation to challenge the stereotype given to young marriage.

'YOUNG, MARRIED OR DIVORCED Award winning documentary company Testimony Films (Married Love - Channel 4, Britain's Love Story - ITV) is making a new documentary about women getting married young. Over 4000 young women got married last year - women from a variety of different backgrounds and with different stories to tell.

I am looking to hear from young women aged between 16 - 19 who are getting married or are already married.

I am also looking to hear from young married women aged 16 - 24 who have had or are having relationship difficulties and are contemplating splitting up or making their marriage work.

If you or someone you know has an interesting, poignant or unique story to tell, maybe a special reason for getting married or can talk about the benefits and challenges of married life - feel free to contact me Lizi Cosslett on 0117 925 8589, or e-mail lizi.cosslett@testimonyfilms.com.

Alternatively write to Testimony Films, 12 Great George Street, Bristol, BS1 5RH. All calls and correspondence is confidential.
