I WAS once advised by an experienced speaker to use the word disappointed, rather than disgusted, at public meetings as listeners tend to ‘switch off’ at any hint of extremism.
Until now I have successfully followed this rule, but how else do I now describe the government’s treatment of our Ghurkha friends? Disappointed just does not fit the bill.
