MR HARKEN (April 30) took issue with my saying that the matter of fluoridation has become the prerogative of dentists, in spite of our concerns being medical rather than dental.
Last November, I wrote to the Chief Medical Officer to ask him for comments on these concerns, since all public statements were coming from the Chief Dental Officer. I received no reply, so went public with the letter in the Environmental Issues Forum Newsletter in January.
In February I received a reply, from the Chief Dental Officer, to whom it had been passed!
Does this support my point?
MISS MARGARET J REICHLIN, Andover.
