STATING the obvious, the clowns who made the decision to ban the Gurkhas from settling in this country are, in my opinion, beneath contempt. To call them traitors or thugs is too good for them.
I feel that the time has come for; Ship, Corp/Regimental & Squadron Associations to stand up and be counted and support the Gurkha cause.
I don’t mean small gatherings here and there, although this would be helpful, but a huge parade, properly organised with; Masters at Arms/RSMs/Station Wos, bands formed up under Band Masters, Pipe & Drum Majors and of course Association Standards.
If anyone out there feels the same please contact your association committee and start the ball rolling!
JOE MACDONALD, Southampton.
