THANK YOU so much for enabling readers to express their views on the plans to add the fluoride chemical to local water supplies. Your local newspaper provides a vital mouthpiece & is true democracy - unlike the actions of the Health Authority!
A dental nurse wrote about dental decay – but in Lanarkshire a community dentist halved tooth decay by a pact between parents, teachers & children for youngsters to reduce their intake of sweets & fizzy drinks. They were also shown how to clean their teeth correctly. So this can be achieved.
You reported on 25 April that local campaigners have launched a Fighting Fund to help take their bid to stop fluoride being added to Hampshire's water supply to the Courts. Interested readers can contact: Hampshire Against Fluoridation, 4 South Road, Hayling Island, Hampshire PO11 9AE.
