I WAS interested to receive a campaign leaflet from my Labour MP Alan Whitehead. You may remember that I wrote to you about having twice been ignored by the MP even though he spends £10,000 a year on “correspondence’’.
The campaign leaflet came through my door wrapped in a number of other free leaflets advertising take away pizza, carpet cleaning, kebabs and curry.
Is it right that Labour has no volunteers left to deliever leaflets and the MP has to resort to paying for his campaign letter to be delivered? Could this be where the £10,000 went or was it another proportion of his £144,698 expense claim that paid for delivery?

ALAN Whitehead MP, Southampton Test, replies: I am afraid I have no record of Mr Lacy ever contacting my office. However if he would like to try contacting me again using the information below, I will make sure he receives a full reply to whatever issues he raises.
