I DO not think that the 'In my view' column should be used as a political platform for a prospective Conservative candidate to disseminate his political propaganda. It was, in my view, the usual negative Tory party rhetoric.
As usual it did not say what the Tories would do in the current crisis. We know, however, that their agenda would include cutting social services (they hate paying for someone else) and budgets to fund libraries, schools, hospitals, etc. When they were last in power they cut just about everything they could. The nation was dying from 1000 cuts - nearly every day something else would be cut. No wonder so many people couldn't wait to get rid of them.
PS: I think the Tories hope that by just pointing out the faults of the other parties they may get voted in by default.
