I AM writing this letter after hearing that the Rainbow Project is being shut down.
I was introduced to the Rainbow Project nearly 3 years ago. I was just 16 and had no home, my nan and I were distraught and didn't know where to go or who to talk to. The people at the Rainbow Project reassured us both, they put a roof over my head and made sure I was OK. Being with the Rainbow Project really helped me develop as a person and gave me all the confidence I have today.
I am devastated to hear that it may be shutting down. So many people rely on the Rainbow Project to help them through troubled times. It is a terrible idea to stop them from helping people. I strongly believe that without the Rainbow Project I wouldn't be the way I am today.
Please reconsider any ideas of removing the Rainbow Project. It is a terribe idea, the Rainbow Project is money well spent!
RACHEL SHELLEY.
