CONGRATULATIONS to the families who belatedly had names added to the war memorial in Southampton, pictured left.
This led me to think of something I have often wondered about. Do those who die of their wounds after the war is over, get on the memorials? If so, how quickly after the war do you have to die?
My mum had two cousins who both survived the war but died in the 1920s of TB contracted in the war.
One has his name at the bottom of the memorial (out of name order of course) and the other one has not.
Can anyone give me an answer to that?
THELMA ASH, Bishopstoke.
