Southampton City Council should be ashamed at the non-display of Christmas lights and a tree in the city centre.
Years ago we always had a big tree and lights from the Bargate all the way up to the old Tyrrell and Green store. If the Christmas market didn’t appear with lights around the huts you would not know it was Christmas in Southampton.
I admit the shops have made an effort, but don’t understand why we have not got Christmas trees anywhere. The village of Hythe has more Christmas lights than Southampton city centre.
